Leon Goretzka was fouled by Francesco Acerbi and Lewandowski sent former Bayern teammate Pepe Reina the wrong way to strengthen the Bundesliga side’s stranglehold on the tie.

Lewandowski was replaced by Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in the second-half, and the former Paris Saint-Germain striker added a second goal on 73 minutes, dinking over Reina from a David Alaba through-ball.

Marco Parolo scored a late consolation, heading past Bayern goalkeeper Alexander Nubel to give Lazio some pride.
